Denise Benmosche Woman’s Chair
The Woman’s Chair, part of IIE’s plan to raise a $50 million endowment for the Scholar Rescue Fund, will ensure that there will always be a place where female persecuted academics can find safe haven. These funds will enable IIE’s Scholar Rescue Fund to rescue two female scholars each year in Denise’s name in perpetuity. All gifts to the Women’s Chair of the Scholar Rescue Fund will be matched -- dollar for dollar -- by Robert Benmosche and an anonymous IIE donor.
The Benmosche Family Chair
In honor of the Benmosche Family, the Institute of International Education (IIE) is seeking to raise $1,000,000 for The Benmosche Family Chair of the Scholar Rescue Fund. Through this new Chair, SRF is leading a vital effort to expand the resources needed to rescue threatened senior scholars and their families around the world, and to inform the public at-large about serious global threats to academic freedom. IIE is pleased to announce that all gifts to the new Benmosche Family Chair of the Scholar Rescue Fund will be jointly matched -- dollar for dollar -- by Robert Benmosche and an anonymous IIE donor.
Hite Foundation Chair for Communications
The Institute of International Education's Scholar Rescue Fund is proud to announce the Hite Foundation Chair for Communications. Through this new Chair, Mr. Hite is leading a groundbreaking initiative to utilize advances in media and communications technology to expand the resources necessary for rescuing threatened senior scholars around the world, and to inform the public at-large about the serious risks to academic freedom in the 21st century. SRF is seeking to raise $250,000, of which each dollar will be matched by Larry Hite, and will be matched again by the generosity of an anonymous IIE Trustee.
