The Scholar Rescue Fund® formalizes an unwavering commitment to academic freedom that the Institute of International Education (IIE) has demonstrated for over 90 years. At the heart of the Fund is the idea that each scholar we help who continues his or her work in safety is a beacon of hope in our world.

Since 2002, the Scholar Rescue Fund has assisted 436 scholars from 46 countries, placing them at over 250 host institutions in 40 countries around the world.

Together we can make a difference. One life, one voice, one idea at a time.
