SRF aids Iraqi scholars’ reconstruction contribution

In a workshop held this June in Amman, Jordan, and attended by HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, SRF partnered with York College's Post-War Reconstruction & Development Unit (PRDU) to aid Iraqi scholars displaced by the war contribute to reconstruction efforts in Iraq.

Protecting Academics from Attack

On July 5th, University World News reported that IIE’s Scholar Rescue Fund, as one of “five leading organisations committed to upholding academic rights and assisting refugee scholars throughout the world will urge UNESCO this week to take a stronger stand against persecution of academics and to show a greater commitment to core international higher education values.”  This announcement came at the start of SRF’s participation in the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education taking place this week in Paris, France.
